Clear Creek OHV Riding Area at Blackwater River State Forest is a dedicated camping facility for off-highway vehicle enthusiasts located north of Milton, Florida. The campground features 4 campsites with electric and water hookups, accommodating up to 8 people per site with a maximum equipment length of 50 feet. The sites are situated in an open area without shade and are configured as back-in sites. The facility includes a large picnic shelter equipped with 4 picnic tables and ceiling fans, along with restroom facilities. Indoor showers are not available. Camping is restricted to Friday and Saturday nights only, and all campers must possess either an annual OHV riding pass or a day-use pass. This is an alcohol-free facility. The riding area provides access to more than 52 miles of challenging OHV trails through Blackwater River State Forest. Riders are required to wear DOT-approved helmets, and children under 16 must also wear eye protection and over-the-ankle boots. The surrounding Blackwater River State Forest offers additional recreational opportunities including hiking trails, fishing lakes, and canoe trips through pristine forest lands.
Directions
From Milton, FL head north on Highway 191. Turn left onto Eastgate Road. Turn right onto Whiting Field Circle then make a quick left after the railroad tracks. Follow Whiting Field Circle until you see the Clear Creek OHV Riding Area sign. Turn right onto dirt road named Redbird Trail. Travel north until you see the facility on your right.
