About
Copper Falls State Park features two well-separated family campgrounds nestled in a forested setting, providing campers with a sense of seclusion while offering proximity to the park's spectacular waterfalls and deep gorges. The North Campground contains 32 sites, including 28 with electrical hookups and one ADA-accessible site with an accessible picnic table and fire ring. The South Campground offers 23 non-electric sites in a valley between two ridges, with four walk-in sites requiring about a 100-yard walk from parking. Beyond traditional camping, the park provides several specialized accommodations. A rustic accessible cabin near the South Campground can house up to four people and features electric outlets, lighting, and nearby accessible flush toilets and showers. A group camping area accommodates up to 40 people with dedicated facilities. Adventure seekers can reserve a primitive backpack campsite located about 2 miles from the parking area along the Bad River, overlooking sandstone ledges. Winter camping is available year-round, with six plowed sites in the North Campground offering electric hookups and access to a vault toilet. The park's Civilian Conservation Corps-era log buildings, extensive hiking trails, and dramatic waterfalls make it one of Wisconsin's most scenic destinations. Seasonal amenities include showers and drinking water from Memorial Day weekend through October 1, plus a concession stand selling snacks and camping supplies.
