Copper Falls State Park campgrounds are nestled in the forested landscape of northern Wisconsin's Ashland County, where ancient lava flows have created dramatic gorges and spectacular waterfalls. The park features two distinct camping areas designed to provide seclusion from the popular day-use areas. The 32-site North Campground sits closer to the main facilities and offers 28 sites with electrical hookups plus 4 non-electric sites. Site #7 is fully ADA accessible with an accessible picnic table and fire ring. The 23-site South Campground occupies a valley between two ridges and provides a more rustic experience with all non-electric sites, including four walk-in sites about 100 yards from parking with carts provided for gear transport. Both campgrounds have vault toilets and water fountains. Additional options include a rustic accessible cabin accommodating up to 4 guests (with wheelchair accessibility and nearby flush toilet/shower), a group camp for up to 40 people, and a primitive backpack campsite requiring a 2-mile hike to the banks of the Bad River. Six electric sites remain open for winter camping. The park operates year-round from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., with showers and drinking water available Memorial Day weekend through October 1.

Copper Falls State Park is located approximately 2 miles northeast of Mellen, Wisconsin. From Mellen, take State Highway 169 north for about 1.8 miles to the park entrance.
