About

Morro Strand State Beach Campground is a coastal frontage park featuring over 70 campsites spread along three miles of windswept beach connecting Morro Bay to Cayucos. The campground provides spectacular views of Estero Bay and the iconic Morro Rock, with direct access to sandy beaches, dunes, and diverse coastal habitats. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table, with water spigots and flush toilets located nearby. Select RV sites feature full electrical, water, and sewer hookups. The campground accommodates RVs up to 40 feet and trailers up to 24 feet. Visitors enjoy cooler coastal temperatures, typically 30 degrees cooler than inland areas during summer months. Recreational opportunities include surfing, windsurfing, kite flying, fishing, jogging, bird watching, and wildlife viewing. The campground's location provides easy access to the charming town of Morro Bay (3 miles south) and Cayucos (3 miles north), both offering dining, shopping, and services. The Museum of Natural History at nearby Morro Bay State Park offers educational exhibits about the region's natural and cultural history.
