About

Cascade Lake Campground encompasses the North End, Midway, and South End camping areas along Cascade Lake in Moran State Park on Orcas Island. The North End campground has approximately 50 sites including 13 tent-only sites and is closest to the RV dump station. Midway Campground offers lakeside tent sites and RV/trailer sites across the road among madrona trees. South End has the best lake views with many waterfront sites ideal for swimming and launching kayaks or canoes. All campgrounds feature flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, fire pits, and picnic tables. There are no electrical hookups anywhere in the park. Maximum site length is 45 feet with limited availability for larger rigs. The park has one dump station. Orcas Adventures rents SUPs, kayaks, canoes, and paddleboats adjacent to Cascade Lake. Moran State Park spans over 5,200 acres with five lakes, over 30 miles of hiking trails, and Mount Constitution offering panoramic views of the San Juan Islands, Cascades, and Olympic Mountains. Cascade Lake is stocked with rainbow trout and also holds cutthroat, kokanee, and largemouth bass.

Directions

From the Orcas Island ferry landing, head north on Orcas Road. Continue through Eastsound, then turn right onto Olga Road. Follow Olga Road approximately 3.5 miles to the park entrance. The campgrounds are located along Cascade Lake within the park.
