Moran Adirondack Campground

Open — Open year-round. Operating first-come, first-served during winter months. Some operational changes occur during the off-season including possible water system shutdowns.

About

Situated within Moran State Park on Orcas Island, the Adirondack Campground offers a peaceful forested setting in one of Washington's premier island parks. The 5,252-acre park features five freshwater lakes, over 38 miles of trails for hiking and biking, and sweeping views from the summit of Mount Constitution, the highest point in the San Juan Islands. The campground provides standard campsites with picnic tables and fire pits, with no electrical hookups available. Maximum site length is 45 feet with limited availability for larger RVs. The park includes five restrooms with showers and one dump station serving all campgrounds. Visitors can enjoy swimming and boating at Cascade Lake, rent kayaks and paddleboards, explore historic CCC-built structures including the Mount Constitution stone tower, and visit the Sugar Shack concession stand for snacks and ice cream. Winter camping is available with some operational changes during the off-season. The park is accessible by ferry to Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands.
