About

Moose Lake State Park Campground is situated on rolling hills with scenic views overlooking Echo Lake in Carlton County, Minnesota. The campground features 35 semi-modern sites split into three loops, with the southern loop housing 20 sites with electric hookups and the northern loop offering non-electric sites. Two walk-in tent sites and a rustic group campsite are also available. The park encompasses 105-acre Echo Lake, known for excellent bass, northern pike, and panfish fishing, with a boat launch, fishing pier, and boat rentals available. The park offers 5 miles of hiking trails and a 2-mile paved bike trail connecting to the city of Moose Lake and the Willard Munger State Trail located two miles west. A sandy swimming beach with open grassy areas provides family recreation opportunities. The Agate Geological Interpretive Center showcases information on Minnesota's geology and the Lake Superior Agate, the state gemstone. Winter visitors can enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on ungroomed trails year-round, though the campground is seasonal.
