About

Mission Springs PCT Trail Camp sits at 6,596 feet elevation in the San Bernardino National Forest within Sand to Snow National Monument. This primitive backcountry camp serves Pacific Crest Trail thru-hikers and backpackers seeking solitude far from developed campgrounds. The two isolated sites each have a picnic table and campfire ring. The camp operates on a pack-in, pack-out basis with no restrooms, trash service, or potable water. Seasonal water may flow at nearby Mission Springs (follow signs past the horse corral), but it must be filtered or boiled before consumption. Four horse corrals are available for equestrian campers. All sites are first-come, first-served with no reservations. Campfire permits are required for any fire use including campfires, charcoal BBQs, and camp stoves. Fires may be restricted during high fire danger periods. Note that Forest Service Road 1N02 (Coon Creek Jump) is currently closed to motorized vehicles, affecting vehicle access to the area.
