About
Located along the Middle Fork Feather River in the Plumas National Forest, Milsap Bar Family Campground offers a primitive camping experience at approximately 1,600 feet elevation. The campground sits at the confluence of the Middle Fork and South Branch of the Feather River, providing spectacular whitewater viewing and access. The area was impacted by the 2020 North Complex fires, and retaining wall repairs have been completed, with the campground now accessible via Brush Creek from the Berry Creek side. The campground features 12-14 first-come, first-served campsites, each with a picnic table and fire ring. There is no potable water, no trash service, and limited restroom facilities. Campers should come prepared with adequate water supplies and plan to pack out all waste. The remote location and lack of amenities make this an ideal destination for experienced campers seeking solitude. Activities include fishing, swimming, non-motorized boating, and whitewater watching. OHV use is prohibited within the campground. Bear-aware practices are required.
Directions
Access via Brush Creek from Berry Creek side on Forest Road 22N62. The campground is approximately 5 miles east of Brush Creek. Road conditions may vary; high-clearance vehicles recommended.
