About
Mill Pond Campground is a primitive Forest Service campground tucked along Sullivan Creek in the Colville National Forest of northeast Washington. The campground serves as a basecamp for exploring the Sullivan Creek drainage, offering direct trail connections to several hiking routes and the Mill Pond Historic Site located about a mile north. The Sullivan Creek Trail #565 departs from the campground and links to the Mill Pond Flume Trail #520, Floodplain Trail #523, and Elk Creek Trail #560, creating a looped trail system popular with hikers and mountain bikers. The area supports fishing opportunities in Sullivan Creek with a valid Washington state fishing license. Facilities are basic but functional: vault toilets, potable water from a hand pump, picnic tables, and fire rings at sites. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day maximum stay. Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and fireworks and OHV use are prohibited.
