About

East Sullivan Campground is located at the north end of Sullivan Lake in the Colville National Forest, about five miles east of Metaline Falls, Washington. The campground provides a unique environment nestled in dense forest that offers privacy and shade at each of the 38 standard sites, 6 walk-in sites, and 1 group site that accommodates up to 40 people. While campsites do not have direct lake views, all are a short walk from the lake, where a day-use area features a boat ramp, picnic tables, and a swimming area. Sullivan Lake covers 1,291 acres with depths reaching 320 feet, making it ideal for a variety of water sports including canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and power boating. Fishing from a boat is most successful for species like burbot and Kokanee salmon. The campground provides direct access to a nature trail and the Lakeshore Trail, a National Scenic Trail running 4.2 miles along the eastern shore with viewpoints of the lake and Hall Mountain, which rises over 6,000 feet. Wildlife such as elk, moose, white-tailed deer, and black bears frequent the area. In fall, the surrounding forests display brilliant yellow foliage from western larch and aspen. A small airstrip adjacent to the campground accommodates campers arriving by small aircraft.
