About

Lake Thomas Campground occupies a scenic hillside position above Lake Thomas in the Colville National Forest. The 163-acre, 55-foot deep lake is part of the picturesque Little Pend Oreille lakes system. Most sites are tent-only, private, and offer views of the water below. Trails from the campground provide shoreline access for anglers targeting black crappie, brook trout, largemouth bass, pumpkinseed sunfish, rainbow trout, tench, tiger trout, and yellow perch. A Washington state fishing license is required. The campground provides vault toilets, picnic tables, fire rings, and bear-proof garbage containers. No potable water is available, so campers must bring their own supply. Access to Rufus Trail #148 is located near the campground for hiking opportunities. Motorized boats are allowed on the lake, with water access to nearby Lake Gillette. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Check-in is at 2 p.m. and checkout at noon. Pets must be leashed, fireworks are prohibited, and OHV use is not permitted within the campground. Maximum stay is 14 days.
