About

Midway Seasonal Camp is a primitive hunting-focused campground situated in the Long Cane Ranger District of Sumter National Forest near Greenwood, South Carolina. The area is known for abundant wildlife populations including deer, turkey, and quail, making it a popular destination for hunters during fall and winter seasons. The campground operates on a self-serve fee basis with nightly, monthly, and seasonal payment options. Facilities are intentionally minimal to preserve the backcountry hunting experience. Portable toilets are provided during the open season, but campers must bring their own drinking water. South Carolina hunting regulations apply throughout the area. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. with no generators permitted during this time. Shooting is prohibited within 300 yards of the camp. Off-highway vehicles are restricted to designated trails only.
