About
Midge Creek Group Campground sits along Kaiser Pass Road above Huntington Lake in the Sierra National Forest. The campground features 2 group sites set in a large open flat area shaded by fir trees at high elevation. Each site is equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills for cooking. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets but no potable water, so groups must bring their own water supply. There is no trash service; the campground operates under a pack it in, pack it out program. Access is via paved road with a dirt road into the campground itself. Reservations are required through California Land Management with a minimum 1-day advance booking. Weekend stays require a 2-night minimum and holidays require a 3-night minimum. Maximum stay is 14 days. The campground accommodates vehicles up to 35 feet in length and groups up to 50 people per site.
