About

Meadow Creek Campground is situated in the Idaho Panhandle National Forests near the Moyie River, providing a serene mountain camping experience. The campground features 22 individual campsites set among towering conifers with access to excellent fishing opportunities on the Moyie River. Located at 2,400 feet elevation, the campground is accessed via a combination of paved and gravel forest roads through the historic Meadow Creek townsite. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis and offers basic amenities including vault toilets and hand-pumped drinking water during the peak season. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The surrounding area provides opportunities for wildlife viewing, berry picking, and exploring the rugged Selkirk Range. The remote location offers a quiet retreat while still being accessible from Bonners Ferry.

Directions

Travel north from Bonners Ferry on US 95 to the junction with US Highway 2. Travel east on US Highway 2 for 2 miles. Turn north on Meadow Creek Road (County Road 34, Forest Service Road 229) and go 10.2 miles to the Meadow Creek townsite at the railroad. Immediately east of the railroad tracks, turn south on Forest Service Road 211, then after a short distance turn east on Forest Service Road 2562 and travel 0.5 mile to the campground.
