Meadow Creek Campground offers a quiet riverside camping experience along the Moyie River in the Lower Kootenai region of the Idaho Panhandle National Forests. The 22 camp units are spread through a wooded setting, each equipped with a picnic table, fire ring, and tent pad. Vault toilets serve the campground, and seasonal drinking water is available from a hand pump during peak season. The campground provides excellent access to the Moyie River for fishing, non-motorized boating, and scenic viewing. Huckleberry picking is popular in the surrounding area during late summer. The forested setting offers shade and a peaceful atmosphere for tent campers and self-contained RVs alike. The campground operates year-round with first-come, first-served sites only. During peak season from Memorial Day through Labor Day, sites are $15 per night with a $5 fee for additional vehicles. The off-season offers free camping, though the water system is turned off. Interagency Senior and Access passes provide a 50% discount on single-site fees.

Directions

From Bonners Ferry, travel north on US 95 to the junction with US Highway 2. Go east on US Highway 2 for 2 miles. Turn north on Meadow Creek Road (County Road 34 / Forest Road 229) and drive 10.2 miles to the Meadow Creek townsite at the railroad. Immediately east of the railroad tracks, turn south on Forest Road 211, then shortly turn east on Forest Road 2562 and travel 0.5 mile to the campground.
