About

McCubbins Overflow Campground provides a rustic camping experience within the McCubbins Gulch OHV area in the Barlow Ranger District of Mt. Hood National Forest. Located adjacent to McCubbins Gulch, this campground serves as an overflow facility for the popular OHV recreation area, making it an ideal base camp for riders exploring the designated trail system. The campground offers basic amenities including vault toilets but no potable water. Campers should bring all drinking water and be prepared for a primitive experience. Vehicle length is restricted to 25 feet maximum due to site and road constraints. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations available. An important consideration for visitors is the campground's proximity to the Confederated Tribes of Warm Springs reservation. Tribal land is private property, and campers must take care not to trespass beyond forest boundaries.
