Barlow Crossing Campground offers a rustic camping experience along the Historic Barlow Road, the first road over the Cascade Range used by Oregon Trail pioneers. Located near Barlow Creek in the Mount Hood National Forest at 3,100 feet elevation, the campground provides a peaceful retreat in a forested setting. This primitive campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted. Facilities are limited to vault toilets; there is no potable water available, so campers must bring an adequate supply. Access is via Forest Roads 43 and 3530. The campground is managed by Alaska Recreational Management under a concessionaire agreement with the Forest Service. Single sites are $16 per night and double sites are $32 per night. Holders of the Interagency Access Pass or Senior Pass receive a 50% discount on camping fees. Payment is accepted in cash or check only.
