About

Keeps Mill Campground is a small, primitive campground situated adjacent to the White River in Mount Hood National Forest, just west of the Lower White River Wilderness boundary. The campground caters to visitors seeking solitude away from crowds, offering direct access to the river for fishing and serving as a jumping-off point for day hiking and backpacking into the surrounding wilderness. Access to Keeps Mill is challenging and requires a high-clearance vehicle. From Pine Grove, OR, travel west on Highway 216 past the forest boundary and through a small section of the Warm Springs Indian Reservation to Forest Road 2120, then follow 2120 north to the campground. The rough road conditions make this site unsuitable for low-clearance vehicles, trailers, or RVs. Facilities are minimal: vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water and be prepared for primitive camping conditions. Sites are $10 per night, payable by cash or check only. Interagency Senior/Access passes provide a 50% discount on single site fees.
