About
Martin Creek Campground sits in the forested terrain of the Bitterroot National Forest at the confluence of Moose and Martin Creeks, approximately 17 miles northeast of Sula, Montana. This small campground offers 7 sites suitable for tents, RVs, and trailers up to 50 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring, with a vault toilet and hand-pump potable water serving the campground. The campground is popular with anglers and hikers, with fishing rated as fair in the nearby creeks. Its primary draw is proximity to trailheads accessing the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness at the east ends of Forest Roads #5771 and #724. Bears frequent the area, and a food storage order is in effect on all Bitterroot National Forest lands in Montana from March 1 through December 1 annually. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out facility with no garbage service. Camping is limited to 16 consecutive days, after which campers must relocate at least 5 miles away. Quiet hours are observed from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
