About
Jennings Camp Campground is a small, rustic campground located on the banks of the East Fork Bitterroot River in timbered mountain terrain near Sula, Montana. The campground features 4 campsites equipped with picnic tables and fire rings, plus an accessible vault toilet. The site accommodates RVs and trailers up to 20 feet in length. This is a no-fee, first-come, first-served campground with no services. There is no potable water, no hookups, and no garbage service, so visitors must pack out all trash. The East Fork Bitterroot River provides fishing opportunities for brown, rainbow, cutthroat, and brook trout. Bears frequent the area, and a food storage order is in effect from March 1 through December 1 annually. The campground operates year-round but closes during heavy snow conditions. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., dogs must be leashed, and camping is limited to 16 consecutive days. Campfires are allowed depending on fire danger levels. The area offers opportunities for fishing, wildlife viewing, and scenic viewing in the Bitterroot National Forest.
Directions
From Sula, MT head northwest 0.2 miles on Highway 93. Turn northeast on East Fork Road (county road 472). Go approximately 10 miles. Campground is located on the south side of the road.
