Open — The campground is currently open for the winter season on a first-come, first-served basis. Closed starting January 1 for the winter off-season. The campground is 100% reservable during the main season and reservations are required.

About

Marble Beach State Recreation Area sits on the western shore of Big Spirit Lake in the Iowa Great Lakes region, offering one of Iowa's most popular campgrounds. The newly renovated facility is the largest campground in the area, featuring well-shaded sites with modern amenities including full hookups with 50 amp electric and water service, 50 amp electric-only sites, and non-electric options. The campground provides paved roads throughout, modern restroom and shower facilities, and a sanitary dump station. Spirit Lake is Iowa's largest natural lake and provides some of the state's best fishing opportunities. Anglers pursue walleye, northern pike, muskellunges, smallmouth bass, white bass, perch, bluegills, crappies, catfish, and bullheads. A boat ramp at Marble Beach provides easy access for all types of watercraft, from speed boats and jet skis to canoes and sailboats. A public swimming beach, Crandall's Beach, is located just north of the park on Highway 276. Paved trails run through the park and connect to several miles of regional recreational trails, perfect for hiking and biking. An additional North Campground is available just north of the main park entrance on 240th Avenue. The campground is 100% reservable through the Iowa State Parks online reservation system.

Marble Beach State Recreation Area is located at 12320 240th Avenue, Spirit Lake, IA 51360. From Spirit Lake, head north on IA-276 (240th Avenue) for approximately 3 miles; the park entrance will be on your right.
