Closed — Closed for the season from January 1 through March 31. The campground operates April 1 through October 31 and is 100% reservable through the Iowa State Parks system. Water systems are turned off for the winter season.

Elinor Bedell State Park is one of Iowa's newest state parks, located on the eastern shore of East Lake Okoboji in the popular Iowa Great Lakes Region. This 80-acre park was donated by Berkley and Elinor Bedell to permanently protect this beautiful piece of open space for future generations. The park promotes appreciation and enjoyment of prairies, wetlands, and oak savanna landscapes that once commonly existed along the shores of Iowa's Great Lakes. The campground consists of 8 RV sites with full hookups including water, sewer, and electric. Each site can accommodate rigs up to 70 feet in length and features pull-through access, a picnic table, and fire ring. Modern restrooms and a trailer dump station serve the campground. All campsites are 100% reservable through the Iowa State Parks reservation system, and reservations are required. The park offers an extensive system of paved, accessible trails approximately 7,500 feet in length, connecting various points of interest throughout the park. A raised boardwalk takes visitors through wetland areas and along the lake. A large open shelter with kitchenette and modern restrooms overlooks East Lake Okoboji and is available for reservations. Shelby's playground features play structures designed for children ages two to five. East Lake Okoboji offers excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, largemouth and smallmouth bass, white bass, yellow bass, perch, bluegills, crappies, catfish, and bullheads.
