About
Gull Point State Park, established in 1933, sits on a scenic peninsula extending into West Okoboji Lake in Dickinson County. The campground offers 117 well-shaded sites with paved roads, including 60 electric sites with 20/30 amp service and 52 non-electric sites. Modern restroom and shower facilities are available throughout the campground, along with a sanitary dump station and water hydrants. The park features Iowa's largest Civilian Conservation Corps-era lodge, which can be reserved for events and gatherings. A 1.5-mile self-guided interpretive trail winds through the property, and the park provides excellent lake access with fishing docks and boat docks. The beach area and playground make this a popular destination for families visiting the Iowa Great Lakes region. Reservations are required for all campsites and can be made up to three months in advance through the Iowa State Parks reservation system. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31, with peak season rates in effect from May 1 through October 15.
