About

Manor Area Campground sits in the Manor Area section of Cunningham Falls State Park, offering a quieter alternative to the larger William Houck Area campground. The 27-site campground features 20 basic sites and 7 electric sites spread through a forested setting near the historic Catoctin Iron Furnace, which dates to the early iron industry in Maryland. The Scales & Tales Aviary and various hiking trails including the Iron Trail are accessible from this area. The campground operates year-round with seasonal amenity variations. From early April through late October, the bathhouse provides flush toilets and hot showers, and campers have access to the dump station located at the William Houck Area. During winter months, only portable restrooms are available, the bathhouse and dump station close, and campsites are not plowed. Firewood sales are available during the warmer season for exact cash only. An important restriction applies to Manor Area: only self-contained camping units with onboard restrooms are permitted. This makes the campground better suited for RVs and travel trailers rather than tent camping. Pets are welcome throughout the campground when leashed. Reservations are required and can be made online at parkreservations.maryland.gov or by phone at 1-888-432-CAMP. Park entrance gates close from 7pm to 7am, and gate codes are provided in reservation confirmation emails.
