About

Camp Greentop is a historic group camp facility in Catoctin Mountain Park, established in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The camp serves as Maryland's oldest residential camp for people with disabilities and is available for organized group rentals, retreats, and conferences. The facility accommodates up to 150 people across 16 buildings, including 12 cabins that sleep 10 each, one lodge sleeping 12, and three smaller cabins. The dining hall seats 140 and features a commercial kitchen with electric ranges and ovens, requiring a certified food handler for groups using the kitchen. The recreation hall provides a large open space with a stage suitable for meetings and various group activities. Recent upgrades include a new swimming pool open Memorial Day through Labor Day (lifeguard required), renovated dining and recreation halls, and upgraded electrical systems with new outlets and ceiling fans in guest cabins. All facilities are ADA accessible. The camp features rustic log buildings and is situated in the scenic Catoctin Mountains at approximately 1,500 feet elevation.
