About

Malibu Creek SP Group Campground sits within the 4,000-acre Malibu Creek State Park in the Santa Monica Mountains, a landscape rich in natural beauty and Hollywood history. The group facility accommodates up to 50 people and 16 vehicles, featuring shared restrooms with token-operated showers, picnic tables, and barbecue grills. The campground serves as an ideal base camp for groups exploring the park's 15 miles of streamside trails through oak and sycamore woodlands, volcanic rock gorges, and scenic pools along Malibu Creek. The park's trails lead to notable destinations including the famous M*A*S*H filming site, Century Lake, and Rock Pool. This area was the center of Chumash Native American life for centuries and later became the 20th Century Fox movie ranch where numerous films and TV shows were produced. Group campers can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, fishing, bird watching, and wildlife viewing throughout the park. The facility does not accommodate RVs or large vehicles at the group site, keeping the focus on tent camping experiences.
