Open — The campground is currently open year-round. Gates open at 8am and close at 10pm with no entry after 10pm. Maximum combined vehicle and trailer length is 31 feet. Trailer height limit is 13 feet 6 inches.

About

Situated at the mouth of Big Sycamore Canyon within Point Mugu State Park's 13,300 acres, this campground offers a base for exploring the western Santa Monica Mountains. The park features five miles of rocky bluffs, sandy beaches, and sand dunes along the Pacific coast. Campers have access to over 70 miles of hiking trails ranging from easy coastal walks to moderate climbs through rugged hills, uplands, and wide grassy valleys dotted with sycamores and oaks. The Boney Mountains State Wilderness Area lies within the park boundaries. Beach activities include swimming, body surfing, and surf fishing. The campground provides fire rings, picnic tables, potable water from spigots, flush toilets, and coin-operated showers. Sites are shaded by mature sycamore trees and accommodate tents, trailers, and RVs up to 31 feet combined length. The location is 15 miles south of Oxnard on Highway One.
