Live Oak Campground is an established Forest Service campground located in the Angeles National Forest, part of the San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. Positioned in the rugged mountains northwest of the Los Angeles metropolitan area, the campground offers visitors access to the natural beauty of the San Gabriel Mountains. The campground sits at an elevation that provides a cooler escape from the city below. As a Forest Service managed site in the Angeles National Forest, it serves as a base for exploring the surrounding wilderness and trails of the national monument.
Directions
From Bakersfield, take Highway 178 east to Lake Isabella. From Lake Isabella, take Highway 155 north approximately 6 miles to the Live Oak Campground.
