Forest Order No. 05-01-25-13, Camping Equipment Prohibition
Pursuant to 16 U.S.C. § 551 and 36 C.F.R. § 261.50(a), and to provide for public safety, the following acts are prohibited within the Angeles National Forest and San Gabriel Mountains National Monument. This Order is effective from August 15, 2025, through August 1, 2027.

About
Zuni Campground is a former campground in the Angeles National Forest located near Bouquet Canyon in the San Gabriel Mountains. The site is no longer operating as a campground and has been closed for an extended period. The Forest Service has proposed converting the former campground into an education site as part of a larger environmental restoration project focused on riparian habitat restoration and flow capacity improvements to Bouquet Creek. The project also includes sediment removal, culvert repairs, streambank stabilization, vegetation improvements, and development of a backwater preserve. Campers seeking established camping in the Angeles National Forest should consider other nearby campgrounds that are currently operational.
Directions
From I-5 in Valencia, exit Magic Mountain Parkway. Drive east to Valencia Blvd., turn left (north) and drive 2 miles to Bouquet Canyon Rd. Turn north on Bouquet Canyon Rd. and drive about 7 miles.
