This is a day-use picnic shelter only, not an overnight campground. The shelter is available for rental seasonally. Reservations require 7 days advance notice and can be made through Reserve America.

Macedonia Brook Picnic Shelter is a reservable day-use pavilion located within Macedonia Brook State Park in the scenic Northwest Hills of Connecticut. The shelter measures approximately 25 x 50 feet and can accommodate groups of up to 80 people. Amenities include six extra-long picnic tables and a group cooking grill located outside the pavilion. The facility is ADA-accessible with parking for 20 vehicles situated just 40 feet from the shelter, and additional overflow parking available across the street. Portable toilets (outhouses) and drinking water are available nearby. The base rental fee is $145 plus a $9 non-refundable reservation fee; parking fees are collected separately at the gate upon arrival. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping permitted. Amplified music, bounce houses, and other play equipment are prohibited. Reservations require at least 7 days advance notice and can be made up to 11 months ahead. Those seeking overnight camping should look to Macedonia Brook State Park campground, located approximately 0.58 miles away, which offers 51 wooded tent sites.

Directions

Follow Route 341 west from the intersection of Route 341 and Route 7 in the center of Kent. Turn right onto Macedonia Brook Road. Stay left at the intersection of Macedonia Brook and Fuller Mountain Roads. Look for park signs.
