Lucky Peak State Park is a day-use only facility with no overnight camping. All three park units (Sandy Point, Discovery Park, Spring Shores) operate sunrise to sunset. About
Lucky Peak State Park is a popular day-use destination for Boise-area residents, situated along the shores of Lucky Peak Reservoir. The park is divided into three distinct units, each offering different recreational opportunities. Sandy Point, at the base of Lucky Peak Dam, features a sandy beach with clear, cool water ideal for swimming. Discovery Park serves as a picnic and group gathering area with shelters and an amphitheater. Spring Shores Marina provides boating access with two boat ramps, a marina, watercraft rentals, and a convenience store. Important note: Lucky Peak State Park does not offer overnight camping. All three units are day-use facilities only. Campers seeking overnight accommodations at Lucky Peak Lake should look to Macks Creek Campground, which is managed separately by the US Army Corps of Engineers and requires advance reservations through Recreation.gov.
