Open seasonally, typically April through late October. First-come, first-served only with no advance reservations. Campers must physically arrive to claim and pay for a site. Payment via cash, check, or QR code through the Recreation.gov app.

An Air Quality Alert has been issued by the following agencies: Washington Department of Ecology Colville Confederated Tribes Environmental Protection Agency Spokane Regional Clean Air Agency An Air Quality Alert has been issued for Adams, Asotin, Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Garfield, Grant, Lincoln, Okanogan, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens, and Whitman Counties until further notice due to current and expected smoke from regional fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Very Unhealthy levels for areas directly downwind from active wildfires. Other areas may reach Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups or worse. Intermittent clearing may occur due to windy conditions, but smoke production continues to be significant. When air quality is Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Limit time outside, avoid strenuous outdoor activity, and follow tips for cleaner indoor air. When air quality is Very Unhealthy, everyone should reduce exposure. Stay inside and filter indoor air to keep it cleaner. Go elsewhere for cleaner air, if needed.

Critical fire weather this weekend will produce significant smoke from ongoing and emerging fires. Particulate matter (PM2.5) may reach Very Unhealthy levels for areas directly downwind from active wildfires. Other areas may reach Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups or worse. About
Loup Loup Campground is a 25-site facility located near Loup Loup Pass in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, approximately 12 miles east of Twisp. The campground features a pleasant mix of meadow sites and lightly forested areas, providing options for both sun and shade. Basic amenities include vault toilets and potable water available from a hand pump. The area offers excellent recreation opportunities including access to newly developed mountain bike trails on Bear and Little Buck mountains, quiet forest roads ideal for gravel biking and scenic drives, and hunting in season. Fall visitors are rewarded with beautiful golden Western Larch trees. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis only with no advance reservations. Sites are $15 per night with a $5 fee for additional vehicles. A 14-day maximum stay limit applies. Interagency Senior/Access passes provide a 50% discount on the single site fee only.
Directions
From Twisp, drive east 12 miles on Highway 20, then turn north off State Highway 20 onto North Summit Road #42. Drive 1 mile on paved North Summit 42 road to Loup Loup Campground on the left side of road.
