J R Campground
Permanently closed. The access road is being decommissioned.
About
J R Campground was a small, primitive Forest Service campground located along the scenic Chiwawa River in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest, approximately 21 miles from Fish Lake. The campground featured 8 first-come, first-served campsites set in a valley floor surrounded by the forested terrain of the Cascade Mountains. The campground has been permanently closed by the U.S. Forest Service. The access road leading to the site is being decommissioned, meaning this closure is not seasonal or temporary. Campers should seek alternative campgrounds in the Wenatchee River Ranger District.
Directions
J R Campground is located off SR Hwy 20 near Twisp, WA. However, the site is permanently closed, and the access road is scheduled for decommissioning.
