About
Salmon Meadows Campground is a historic Forest Service facility originally established in 1937 by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the Colville National Forest near Conconully, Washington. The campground retains its CCC heritage with a historic picnic gazebo and old registration booth still standing. Located in the Salmon Creek drainage at approximately 4,500 feet elevation, the campground provides a peaceful base for exploring the surrounding Okanogan highlands. The campground offers 14 campsites that accommodate tents and trailers, with two sites featuring horse corrals for equestrian users. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are available, but potable water is not provided, so campers must bring their own supply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis at $10 per night. Salmon Meadows serves as a trailhead hub with access to several backcountry routes. The Angel Pass Trail and Mutton Ridge Trail are accessible from the campground area, offering opportunities for hiking and horseback riding into the surrounding forest lands.
Directions
