About
Lost Creek Campground is a small, primitive campground located 18 miles west of Encampment, Wyoming on the scenic Battle Highway (WY 70). The campground features 13 campsites suitable for tents and trailers under 22 feet. Each site includes a picnic table and fire grate. The campground has one vault toilet but no potable water, so campers must bring their own drinking water. There is no trash service, meaning you must pack out all garbage. The area offers moderate use and provides a quiet base camp for exploring the surrounding national forest. Across Highway 70, the Baby Lakes Trail provides access to the Huston Park Wilderness for day hiking. Forest Road 811 offers ATV riding along the wilderness boundary in the Battle Creek drainage. The area is popular for fishing, hunting in season, and wildlife viewing.
