About

Jack Creek Campground is a moderately-used Forest Service campground located in the scenic Sierra Madre Range within Medicine Bow-Routt National Forest. The campground offers 16 campsites, including 4 pull-through sites suitable for RVs and trailers. Each site features a fire ring and picnic table. A vault toilet is available, and pets are permitted on leash. The surrounding area provides excellent recreational opportunities. Primitive roads offer OHV riding, and both motorized and non-motorized sections of the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail are accessible nearby. The Snowy Range area features over 100 alpine lakes and numerous hiking trails for day trips or extended backcountry adventures. Popular nearby attractions include Silver Lake, Lake Marie Falls, Mirror Lake, and Medicine Bow Peak Trail. The nearby Jack Creek Guard Station and Jack Creek Crew Quarters are also available for rental through Recreation.gov for those seeking a cabin experience.

Directions

From Saratoga, WY: travel west on Carbon County Road 500 approximately 16 miles to the junction with County Road 405. Stay left and travel 3 miles to the Forest boundary where the road becomes Forest Road 452. Continue on FR 452 for 5 miles to Jack Creek Campground.
