About
Long Pine Key Campground sits within the pine rocklands, the most diverse habitat in Everglades National Park. Located seven miles from the main park entrance near Homestead, the campground provides convenient access to the park's unique ecosystem while offering modern amenities uncommon in wilderness settings. The 108 drive-up sites accommodate both tent campers and RVs up to 35 feet in length. The campground features flush restrooms with free hot showers, potable water, and a dump station for RV waste disposal. Utility sinks for dishwashing are located in each restroom building. Sites do not have electric, water, or sewer hookups. Fires are permitted in provided grills only using dead and down wood. The campground enforces quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and limits generator use to 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Nearby attractions include a fishing pond, picnic area with fire grates, an amphitheater hosting winter programs, and access to the Long Pine Key trail network. The campground has designated accessible campsites and van-accessible parking. Pets are welcome but must remain on a leash no longer than six feet and are restricted to the campground, parking lots, and roadsides.
