HAZARD...Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Golden Gate Estates, Belle Meade, Marco Island Airport, Orangetree, Naples Manor, Lely Resort, West Toll Gate On Alligator Alley, Royal Palm Hammock, Golden Gate, South Blocks Golde, Rookery Bay Aquatic Preserve, Picayune Strand State Forest, Intersection I-75 And Everglades Blvd, Fiddlers Creek, and Lely.

Kirby Storter - Partial Reopen
As of 11/4/2024, the Kirby Storter Boardwalk will reopen to the public. Note that the boardwalk is only open part of the way, as rebuilding has not yet begun.
About
Midway Campground is centrally located within Big Cypress National Preserve along the historic Tamiami Trail (US-41) in Collier County, Florida. The campground offers 36 campsites arranged around a scenic lake, providing water views from every site. RV campers have access to 26 electric hookup sites with paved pads, while tent campers can choose from 10 grass sites. All sites include a picnic table and hibachi-style grill. The campground provides modern amenities including flush toilets, potable water, and a dump station. However, there are no showers on site. The open layout offers limited shade, with trees lining the outer perimeter. Covered picnic areas around the lake are available for day use. Recreational opportunities abound, including hiking, biking, fishing, hunting, photography, and access to off-road vehicle trails throughout the preserve. The campground's location provides convenient access to the Oasis Visitor Center, Miccosukee Cultural Center, and Shark Valley in nearby Everglades National Park. Note that swimming is prohibited, cell phone coverage is limited to nonexistent, and all payments must be made online.
