About

Logan State Park occupies 17 forested acres on the north shore of Middle Thompson Lake at 3,333 feet elevation, approximately 45 miles west of Kalispell on U.S. Highway 2. The park is part of the larger Thompson Chain of Lakes State Park system, spanning 3,000 acres across multiple lakes in Lincoln County. The campground features 37 sites accommodating tents and RVs up to 40 feet, spread across two loops. A-loop operates seasonally from May through late September, while B-loop remains open year-round. Amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, an RV dump station (available only to registered campers), fire rings, and boat slips. The park offers swimming, water skiing, and fishing on Middle Thompson Lake. Bear activity is common in the area; campers must store food in hard-sided containers. Reservations are available through Montana State Parks' Reserve America system, with same-day booking available up to three months in advance.
