About

Livingston Creek Campground is situated within the Arbuckle Wildlife Management Area on Lake Wales Ridge State Forest, one of Florida's most ecologically important landscapes. The ancient sand ridge harbors rare scrub habitat that supports numerous endemic and endangered plant and animal species, including the Florida scrub-jay. The campground provides a base for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts seeking to explore this unique Central Florida ecosystem. The primitive campground offers 7 reservable sites with concrete pads measuring 12 feet wide by 60 feet long. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Shared facilities include potable water, two port-o-lets, and a dumpster for trash disposal. The campground accommodates Class B and C RVs up to 32 feet in length; Class A motorhomes are not permitted. Quiet hours are enforced from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Recreational opportunities abound with access to hunting during designated seasons, fishing in nearby waters, and an extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. Wildlife viewing and bird watching are popular year-round activities. Campers should store food properly as bears and raccoons frequent the area.
