About
Lake Kissimmee State Park Campground provides a classic Florida camping experience with 60 full-facility campsites set beneath a canopy of mature live oak trees. Each site includes electric and water hookups, with a dump station located nearby. The campground offers natural buffers between sites for privacy and shade throughout the day. The park sits on the shores of lakes Kissimmee, Tiger, and Rosalie, offering some of the best fishing in central Florida for largemouth bass, crappie, catfish, and bluegill. An on-site boat ramp and marina provide direct access to 35,000 acres of water on the Kissimmee Chain of Lakes. Paddlers can explore the 10-mile Buster Island Paddling Trail, a state-designated paddling trail encircling Buster Island. Campers enjoy 13 miles of hiking trails through 12 distinct natural communities, including pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and freshwater marshes. Wildlife viewing opportunities abound, with frequent sightings of white-tailed deer, bald eagles, sandhill cranes, turkeys, and bobcats. The park's unique 1876-era cow camp living history site operates on weekends and holidays from October through May. Amenities include a playground, observation tower, picnic pavilions, laundry facilities, and a camp store. The campground accommodates RVs up to 55 feet, with four ADA-accessible sites featuring paved pathways to restrooms and showers.
