About

Little Twin Lakes Campground, formerly known as Spruce Lakes, provides a secluded camping experience in the Colville National Forest at 3,728 feet elevation. The campground features seven spacious campsites set among Douglas fir and spruce forests, each equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. The sites are well-spaced to provide privacy and peace, making this an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and connection with nature. The small mountain lake offers excellent opportunities for fishing, with the season running from the fourth Saturday in April through October 31st. A Washington state fishing license is required. A small boat launch and dock provide access to the lake, whose still waters are adorned with lily pads. The surrounding area offers abundant wildlife viewing opportunities, with minimal undergrowth in the forests making wildlife spotting easier. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets but no potable water, trash service, or other modern amenities. Campers must bring their own water and pack out all trash. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees or reservations required. Quiet hours are enforced between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The remote location, about 17 miles east of Colville via Highway 20 and Black Lake Road/Little Twin Lakes Road, ensures a peaceful camping experience with moderate use levels.
