Open for the season. Operating dates are mid-May through late October. Potable water is available through September 30. Sites are reservable via Recreation.gov or first-come, first-served. Check-in at 2:00 p.m., check-out at 12:00 p.m. Maximum stay is 14 days.

Alcohol Prohibitions

This Order describes acts that are prohibited upon lands, roads and trails within the National Forest System administered by the Forest Service Pacific Northwest Region in regards to alcoholic beverages.

Aquatic Invasive Species

This Order prohibits 1) possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic invasive animal species AND 2) prohibits possessing, storing, or transporting any aquatic or riparian invasive plant species - on National Forest System lands in the Pacific Northwest Region as specified in the Order.

About

Lake Gillette Campground occupies a scenic spot on the east shore of Gillette Lake within Colville National Forest. The 14 campsites range from private to more social, with some offering lake views. Lodgepole pine and tamarack provide shade throughout the campground, and paved interior roads and parking spurs make for easy access. The day-use area includes a boat launch, dock, and swimming beach. Hikers can access Rufus Trail #148 nearby, and an amphitheater is reachable via connecting trails. The campground is popular for fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. Facilities include vault toilets, potable water from faucets (available through September 30), picnic tables at each site, and bear-proof garbage containers. A camp host is present during the season. Food and wildlife attractants must be properly stored, as bears and cougars frequent the area.

Directions

From Colville, WA: Take WA-20 E for 24.5 miles. Turn right onto NF-200/Pend Oreille Lake Road for 0.4 miles. Turn left and continue 236 feet; destination is on the right.
