The campground is surrounded by lodgepole pine and tamarack forest that provides shade to many sites. The 29 single campsites are described as nice and big but not private. Gillette Lake is within walking distance and offers swimming, fishing, and boating. OHVs are permitted to drive in and out of the campground. A covered area featuring a large tree trunk serves as an interesting attraction. The campground provides vault toilets, potable water (shut off after September 30), bear-proof garbage containers, and paved interior roads. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring.
