About
Little Salmon Campground is a primitive no-fee camping area managed by the US Forest Service in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. Located in the scenic upper Cle Elum River valley in Kittitas County, this campground provides a rustic camping experience in the eastern Cascade Mountains. The area is surrounded by towering ponderosa pines and offers access to hiking, fishing, and mountain biking opportunities in the surrounding national forest. This is a first-come, first-served camping area with no advance reservations available. The campground operates seasonally, typically from late spring through early fall, and is inaccessible during winter months due to snow and road closures. Campers should be prepared for primitive conditions and practice Leave No Trace principles.
Directions
From Cle Elum, travel north on Highway 903 (Salmon La Sac Road) for approximately 15-20 miles into the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
