About

Little Redwood Campground is a quiet, rustic destination on the banks of the Wild and Scenic Chetco River in southwestern Oregon's Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The campground features 12 shaded campsites adjacent to a wide, sunny river bar, making it ideal for those seeking both forest shade and river access. Facilities include drinking water, vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings for campfires. The campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Chetco River corridor. The Redwood Nature Trail, a self-guided interpretive loop through an old-growth coast redwood grove, is nearby. The Chetco Gorge Trail follows the river and offers scenic hiking. The river itself provides opportunities for fishing, swimming, and wading during warmer months. Access is via Forest Road 1376, reached by turning off US Highway 101 in Brookings onto the North Bank Chetco River Road (County Road 784). The campground is approximately 6 miles past the national forest boundary. Sites are first-come, first-served with no advance reservations.
