The campground features 12 shaded campsites nestled in an old-growth forest setting, with direct access to a wide sunny river bar along the crystal-clear Chetco River. The river is known for its exceptional water quality and striking color and clarity. The campground serves as an ideal base for exploring the area's natural attractions. Campers can enjoy swimming and fishing in the Chetco River's pristine waters, or explore the nearby Redwood Nature Trail, a self-guided interpretive trail through old-growth redwood forest. The location offers a balance of forested seclusion and sunny river access, making it popular for those seeking a quieter camping experience along this scenic river corridor.
