About
Little Pond Campground is a quiet, scenic retreat located in the remote Catskill Forest Preserve in Delaware County. The campground features 67 tent and trailer sites, plus 8 remote tent sites on the back side of the pond for those seeking a more primitive experience. The centerpiece is a 13-acre pond offering a sand beach, swimming, fishing for panfish, and non-motorized boating with rowboat, kayak, and canoe rentals available. The campground provides modern amenities including flush toilets, hot showers, and a dump station. Day use facilities include a picnic area with tables and grills, a pavilion available for rental, and recreational amenities such as a playground, volleyball, horseshoes, soccer, and basketball courts. The facility is notably accessible, with wheelchair-accessible features including the fishing/viewing platform, beach access route, picnic pavilion, hiking trail, and four accessible campsites. Outdoor enthusiasts will appreciate the trailheads within the campground connecting to 33 miles of foot trails in the 27,000-acre Delaware Wild Forest. A gentle 0.75-mile loop trail circles the pond, and other trails lead to old farm ruins and breathtaking views atop the Touchmenot Mountains. The campground is located minutes from the Beaverkill, a world-renowned fly fishing stream, and the Pepacton Reservoir.
