About
Little Pine State Park is a 2,158-acre recreation area nestled in a mountain valley of Tiadaghton State Forest in the Pennsylvania Wilds region of north central Pennsylvania. The park centers around the 45-acre Little Pine Lake and offers a well-maintained campground with 88 sites situated along Little Pine Creek and throughout the forested valley. The campground provides 83 sites that can accommodate trailers up to 20 feet in length, with most offering electric hookups. Five additional sites are designated for tent camping only. Sites are available in both open and shaded settings, with some located directly along Little Pine Creek. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Modern amenities include flush toilets, hot showers, multiple water outlets throughout the campground, and a sanitary dump station. Garbage and recycling facilities, trailer storage, and additional vehicle parking are located at the campground entrance. The park also offers three camping cottages and two yurts that sleep five people each, as well as organized group tenting areas. Beyond camping, visitors can enjoy boating on Little Pine Lake with boat launch and seasonal mooring spaces, fishing, hiking trails through the surrounding state forest, and wildlife watching including the opportunity to observe nesting bald eagles. The park hosts an annual autumn festival in October featuring guided walks, crafts, and conservation presentations.
