About

Little Lick Horse Camp is a primitive equestrian campground managed by the U.S. Forest Service in Daniel Boone National Forest. Located on a long ridgetop in the southeast corner of Pulaski County, the camp overlooks the Cumberland River and serves as a staging area for riders exploring Little Lick Trail #502 and Nathan McClure Trail #530. The campground offers four family camping areas and two double campsites, making it suitable for groups traveling together. Each campsite features a tent pad, fire ring, lantern post, and picnic table. Horse facilities include picket lines and corrals. The campground has vault toilets but no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Trash collection is not available; pack out what you pack in. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture requires a negative Coggins test or similar test for equine infectious anemia and a valid certificate of veterinary inspection for all horses. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservations.
