About

Grove Campground occupies a scenic forested ridge overlooking Laurel River Lake, one of Kentucky's most picturesque lakes with 5,600 acres of clear water and 192 miles of cliff-lined shoreline. The campground is divided into multiple loops: Loop B offers reservable sites while Loop A operates first-come, first-served. Most drive-in sites feature 30-amp electric and water hookups, paved vehicle pads, gravel tent pads, fire rings, picnic tables, and lantern poles. Four walk-in tent sites provide a more primitive experience with access to water but no electricity. These sites include bear-proof food storage lockers, an important amenity given that bears frequent the area. Campers should keep all food in approved containers. The location offers excellent recreation access. Hikers, mountain bikers, and horseback riders can explore over 600 miles of trail in Daniel Boone National Forest. Duff Branch Trail, Spruce Creek Trail, Fishing Point Trail, Singing Hills Trail, and Oak Branch Trail all begin within the campground. Anglers find walleye, crappie, brown trout, and rainbow trout in the lake. Grove Marina nearby provides a boat ramp, limited groceries, and lake access.
