Line Creek Rental Cabin is a Forest Service rental facility in the Custer Gallatin National Forest, positioned in the remote Line Creek area south of Red Lodge, Montana. The surrounding terrain encompasses the high-elevation Beartooth Mountains and the ecologically significant Line Creek Plateau Research Natural Area. The Line Creek area provides access to alpine and subalpine landscapes characteristic of the Beartooth Range. Visitors should be prepared for backcountry conditions, as the area features limited developed infrastructure. The region is known for its diverse alpine vegetation and wildlife habitat.
Directions
From Ennis, take Highway 287 south for 11 miles to Cameron, MT. From Cameron, turn east on Bear Creek Loop and continue approximately 8 miles following signs to the site.
